Ecological Farmscape Specialist
Engaged in agriculture in Hawaiʻi since 2010, Anissa has a diverse farming background — from organic annual lettuce and vegetable production, to small-scale coffee farming and regenerative breadfruit agroforestry. Her extensive hands-on experience and training in ʻāina based systems includes agricultural tourism, product research and development, post harvest and processing, warehouse operations, food safety, marketing and e-commerce, as well as farmer education and outreach. An integrated systems thinker + doer, she is a founding member of Hawaiʻi ʻUlu Co-op (HUC), and sits on the board as vice president of Māla Kaluʻulu Cooperative, a 4 acre ʻulu farm in South Kona on Hawaiʻi Island.
